For adults

Practise speaking on your own terms.

Whether you're rebuilding speech after a stroke or with aphasia, or you already speak well and just want to be clearer, more confident and sure of being heard, TalkAlong gives you a calm, private place to practise — as often as you like, at your own pace.

⏱️

At your own pace

No buzzer, no score flashing red. Slow the model right down, repeat it as many times as you need, and take breaks whenever you want.

🔒

Private and pressure-free

Practise the words that trip you up in private, at your own pace. The avatar is patient and encouraging — practice should feel relaxed, not like a test.

🇦🇺

An Australian voice

Practise toward how you actually want to sound, in a natural Australian accent — not a generic US app voice.

🧑

Spoken to like an adult

Tell TalkAlong your age and the whole experience grows up with you — warm, but never childish, with pictures and visuals that suit an adult, not a toddler. Dignity isn't a setting we bolt on; it shapes every word.

🎯

Goals in your own words

Set the goals that matter to you, in your own words — each with a picture you choose. Practise toward the things you actually want to say, not someone else's drills.

Keeping it sharp

Already speak well? Keep it that way.

Not everyone using TalkAlong is recovering or starting out. Plenty of people speak perfectly well but talk too quietly, hold back, or aren't sure of being heard — and speech, like any skill, fades if you don't use it. A few minutes of low-pressure practice, somewhere private and patient, is how you stay clear, build the confidence to speak up, and keep the ground you've already won.

Between sessions

The practice your therapy is missing.

An hour a week with a speech pathologist is valuable — but real change comes from the daily repetition in between. TalkAlong is built to give you that volume of practice, structured around the words and goals that matter to you.

An adjunct, not a replacement. TalkAlong supports your speech therapy — it isn't medical treatment and doesn't replace your clinician. If you haven't seen a speech pathologist, that's the best first step.
